Typhoon help for the Philippines

Dear FMA friends and supporters,

you have seen it all everywhere in the media:

A terrible typhoon, the strongest that ever hit land, devastated the Philippines.

You all know, that Leyte and Samar are most damaged provinces. Thank god, non of our masters and grandmasters live there. But the storm was over 1000 kilometer (600 miles) wide and also damaged other provinces in the Visayas. For example in Coron, Aklan and Palawan where also members of the Modern Arnis/IMAFP family lost their houses and all their belongings. The emergency is big and the need for help too.

We from the German Arnis Association, DAV, have decided, to organize a fundraising for the Philippines, as we have done several times before, when help was needed. Through our contacts in the Philippines we take care, that the money is spent, where it is needed most. This has worked well in our previous fundraising activities and it will work well again.

We will keep you updated, where the money was spent and what it was used for. Primarily we want to help our Arnis friends of course. They need our solidarity. On top of that, they need help everywhere of course.

So in the name of the DAV we ask you to donate money for the Philippines!
We collect the money on the associational account and send the money on a regular base to the Philippines so that it arrives there fast.

Please use this account number when sending money from within Germany:

Deutscher Arnis Verband e.V.
Bank: Postgiroamt Hannover
Konto: 605 860 307
BLZ: 250 100 30
Betreff: Typhoon help for the Philippines

And this number, when sending money from outside of Germany:

Deutscher Arnis Verband e.V.
IBAN: DE24 2501 0030 0605 8603 07
Subject: Typhoon help for the Philippines

We hope that we can help a little bit even though we know, that it will only be a drop on a hot stone. But when many people join in, something bigger can arise.

In advance we already say, also in the behalf of the Philippines :
Thank you.
